On November 1, 2018, at approximately 2:00 PM, the Hays County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 200 block of Towhee Dr in Buda, TX, to follow up on a service call regarding inhumane animal care.
Hays County Sheriff’s Animal Control Officers made contact with the occupants and subsequently discovered 161 cats and 15 dogs in various health states.
The occupants of the residence identify themselves as a nonprofit organization responsible for the care, custody and welfare of the animals.
The investigation is ongoing and all of the animals have been removed from the residence for welfare concerns and investigative purposes.
