On July 12, 2018, the Hays County Sheriff’s Office received the Neighborhood Champion Award for receiving the most appreciation from citizens in Hays County that are members of “Nextdoor.”
Nextdoor is the private social network for you, your neighbors and your community. It allows communities to easily create private websites to facilitate communication among neighbors and build stronger neighborhoods.
The Hays County Sheriff’s Office is one of the 2,500 public agencies across the country including police, fire, city/county, and emergency management departments who use Nextdoor to share important information and strengthen relationships with residents. Currently, there are nearly 24,000 members in 209 neighborhoods that partnership with the Hays County Sheriff’s Office.
