Hays County to begin road construction on RM 3237

Staff Reports

Hays County Courthouse, TX – Hays County will begin work on the RM 3237 road construction project beginning on or about September 13, 2021. The work is in Hays County Precinct 3, represented by Hays County Commissioner Lon Shell, who is overseeing the project.

“Under the 2016 voter-approved road bond, the county will reconstruct the T-intersection at RM 3237 and RM 150 to create a roundabout intersection,” Shell said.

He added that the design will allow for the preservation of existing trees in the center of the roundabout.

“This project will help with the flow of traffic and will also allow us to preserve a few already existing trees,” he said.

Shell said the work, which has a construction value of $1,600,000, is anticipated to be complete in spring 2022, weather and other issues permitting. The project team consists of American Structurepoint, HDR, and Cox Commercial Construction.
