Last Friday, October 4, the Hill Country Christian School Rams took the field against the Katy Faith West Eagles for their homecoming game.
The Rams started the game off strong with junior running back Ben Walton scoring a touchdown and junior kicker Jack Chovanec making the 2 bonus points early in the first quarter.
Walton scored another touchdown at the end of the first quarter. The Rams held the Eagles at zero until the second quarter when the eagles managed to score one touchdown, making the score 26-6 at the end of the first half.
The Rams came back just as strong in the third quarter with Walton scoring two more touchdowns, and Chovanec making two more kicks.
The Eagles fought to tighten up the score, until sophomore wide receiver Thomas “Chango” Hamilton scored a touchdown followed by two more touchdowns from Walton and two more kicks from Chovanec.
The final score at the end of the second half was 62-48 with the Rams taking the victory.
Walton finished the game with seven touchdowns and junior receiver Gibson Pucel and Hamilton each had one touchdown.
The Rams take the field at home against the Heritage Christian Eagles next Friday night for their first district game of the season.
