HCWC Auction Celebrates 41 Years Of Serving Local Victims

HCWC invites you to join us for a FIESTA to celebrate our 35th annual auction and 41 years of serving local victims and survivors of abuse and assault. This year’s annual auction is scheduled for Saturday, April 27, 2019, at 6:00 pm, at the LBJ Student Ballroom, Texas State University.

Last year HCWC provided face to face services to 2,111 victims of assault and abuse. This was a 12 percent increase from the previous year. Sadly, the number of child abuse victims increased 37 percent over the previous year. Now, more than ever, it is essential that HCWC be available to provide free, confidential, and life changing services to victims of abuse and assault.

The 35th Annual Auction will have a silent and live auction, a fajita dinner by Black’s BBQ, raffles, games and items with a Central Texas flavor.  The live auction will include a luxury trip to the Dominican Republic, an all-inclusive trip to a hunting lodge in Canada, Christmas at Big Sky Montana and a myriad of exclusive local experiences and treasures.

With over 250 items donated by community members including art, gift certificates, furniture, and novelties, there is sure to be something for everyone.

HCWC is honored to be hosting the Texas State Mariachi Band, Mariachi Nueva Generacion this year. They are generously donating a 30 minute performance beginning at 6:00 PM. You can also see the very talented Mariachi Nueva Generacion on Saturday, May 4th, 2019, at the leading university mariachi competition Feria del Mariachi.

This year, Feria del Mariachi is celebrating its 20th anniversary and Mariachi Nueva Generacion is commemorating the event by performing an original stage production entitled “Soy Mexicano”.

Auction tickets are $40 in advance & $50 at the door and all proceeds benefit local victims of abuse. Purchase tickets in advance by visiting our website hcwc.org or contacting us at 512-396-3404. We invite you to join us to help us honor the work of HCWC and be our partner in the effort to end abuse assault in Hays and Caldwell counties.
