Health agency warns Texas is running out of the only antibody treatment effective against the omicron variant

Five of the department’s regional infusion centers have run out of sotrovimab, the only antibody treatment known to be effective against the new variant.

7-day average of new confirmed cases of COVID-19

As of Dec. 27, there are 3.7 million confirmed cases. The average number of cases reported over the past seven days shows how the situation has changed over time by de-emphasizing daily swings. The number of new cases reported drops on weekends when labs are less likely to report new data to the state.
