Kyle, Tex. – Healthy residents mean stronger communities, a value that Seton Hays Foundation takes seriously. That’s why each year, Seton Hays Foundation holds fundraising events to benefit some if its important programs and helps bring affordable health care to the areas it serves.
In an effort to grow awareness of the many programs offered, Seton Hays Foundation announced that the Seton Medical Center Hays “Seton Social” Gala and the Seton Edgar B. Davis “Taking Care of Tiny Texans” Gala have joined together to create one spectacular night of giving to meet medical needs in Hays, Caldwell and surrounding counties: Seton Hays Foundation’s Boots & Bling Gala 2017.
“We’re expecting over 600 attendees from around the Austin area and know it’ll be our biggest event yet, both in number of attendees and dollars raised,” said 2017 Boots & Bling Event Chair Keith Schmidt, Owner of Kreuz Market. “I’ve been involved with these events for several years now, not because I have a lot of free time, but because I am passionate about the cause. The large number of professionals who come together to help plan, promote, and execute this Gala, and the continually growing list of sponsors, just show how special Seton’s mission is and the impact that these programs have the residents of Hays and Caldwell Counties.”
The event will take place on Saturday, August 26th, 2017, at The Hyatt Lost Pines in Bastrop.
Proceeds from this event will support construction and equipment to create the McCoy Wellness & Rehabilitation Center at Seton Medical Center Hays and the operational needs of the Seton Edgar B. Davis Children’s Care-A-Van.
“Access to affordable healthcare is a basic necessity — without the Children’s Care-a-Van many of these residents would not have the ability to utilize preventative services,” said Julie Carter of Equity Trading and event Fund-the-Need representative. “Our community continues to grow and develop and access to healthcare is vital. Anything that people can do to support those efforts and continue to help the children is this community is instrumental.”
Sponsorships and tickets are available at setonhaysfoundation.org/boots-and-bling-2017.
About McCoy Wellness & Rehab Center | As Hays and the surrounding counties continue to grow, Seton Medical Center Hays is growing as well to keep up with the increasing demand for advanced medical care, responsive emergency services and programs that support the wellness of our community. It is Seton’s mission to ensure that we continue to provide the very best available healthcare and wellness services to those we serve.
Funds for the McCoy Wellness & Rehabilitation Center will be used for construction and equipment for a cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation facility that will help restore the wellbeing of patients through rehab and therapy and will have space for health education for the community, (i.e., diabetes management, smoking cessation and nutrition). Through Boots & Bling 2017, thousands of people will improve their quality of life through the services and programs this center will provide.
About Seton Edgar B. Davis Children’s Care-a-Van | The Children’s Care-A-Van is a vital service to Caldwell County and other surrounding communities. The goal of providing every child — whether sick or in need of preventative care — the highest quality healthcare regardless of ability to pay, is the daily mission of the Care-a-Van. Seton is proud to announce that in 2016 over 2,354 patients were seen and approximately 1,800 immunizations provided by Care-A-Van clinicians. While this is a significant achievement, it is only through your continued support that we are able to keep this important mission in motion.
