In March, residents of the Hill Country in central Texas will be able to play Monopoly with a board that features locations throughout the Hill Country.
Until September 22, people can voice which locations they would like to see featured on the board via the official Hill Country Monopoly email texashillcountry@toptrumps.com with prizes up for grabs that participate.
The edition will see locally themed squares replace Mayfair and Park Lane from the original London MONOPOLY board and include a customized ‘Community Chest’ and ‘Chance’ playing cards, making the entire game a Hill Country experience. A few squares will also be dedicated to some of the iconic and much-loved Hill Country landmarks.

“We want to ensure that the Hill Country Monopoly is an accurate portrayal of what locals love about their cities, so we would love for everyone to get on board and send us their recommendations of what they would like to see included,” Katie Hubbard, a representative from Top Trumps said. “Anything and everything are up for consideration – from the Hill Country: The New Braunfels Railroad Museum, the San Marcos Historical District, the Fredericksburg Headquarter Hats shop, to the Old Gillespie County Jail, we want to know what your favorite place is to go to in the beautiful Hill Country area and have it be on the board– so get involved!”
“This edition will be everything you love about the traditional board, adapted in a way that people of the Hill Country will enjoy for generations to come. There will also be opportunities in the coming months for the community and individuals alike to get involved in the creation of this game, so stay tuned for more exciting details,” Hubbard adds.
