The annual Hill Country Living FESTIVAL + Rainwater Revival goes spectacularly this Saturday, October 24.
The Hill Country Alliance will mark the 10th anniversary of the event with a celebration of the “collection of rainwater, the conservation of natural resources and a common-sense approach to living lightly in the Texas Hill Country.”
The virtual festival will be open to everyone free and live from the HCA — via a custom Zoom webinar platform with three hours of hosted programming.
The morning segment, 10:30 AM to noon, will be adult-and kid-friendly with music by Mr. Will and Raindrop Stop entertainments, plus educational sessions on rainwater harvesting, night sky wonders, and a close look at the one-water school in Wimberley.
The afternoon segment will kick off at 3 PM with community science opportunities, Texas smart gardening secrets, and Western song classics by Alex Dormont and Beyrl Armstrong. The day will close out with Conservation Conversations over Cocktails – “a lively panel discussion with a special concoction from Treaty Oak Distilling.”
In addition to the “live” webinar-based program, the FESTIVAL recreates its popular Vendor Hall and Hill Country Artisan showcase with an online Vendor Marketplace on the event website, RainwaterRevival.com.
Visitors to the Marketplace on Sat, Oct 24, can play Marketplace Trivia for prizes while perusing sustainable services, products, green-living tips, and one-of-a-kind artisan-made goods. The Marketplace will remain open until the end of the year.
