Hispanics Helped Trump Win In Florida, Texas, Analysis Of Election Data Shows

By Bethany Blankley | The Center Square

The Republican Party has become a more multiethnic, multiracial, and working-class party, politicians said after viewing election data and precinct-level exit polls.

More Hispanics voted for President Donald Trump on Election Day, helping him secure wins in Texas and Florida, the second and third-largest states by population, respectively.

Trump’s support from Texas Hispanics increased from 34 percent to 40 percent.
Sen. Josh Hawley, R-Missouri, tweeted, “we are a working class party now. That’s the future.”

Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Florida, also tweeted that the future of the Republican Party is “a party built on a multi-ethnic multi-racial coalition of working AMERICANS.”

The Florida exit poll showed Hispanic support for Trump grew from 35 percent in 2016 to 47 percent in 2020.
