Historic Downtown San Marcos Welcomes New Food Tour Company

San Marcos, TX — San Marcos Food Tours, a new walking food tour company, began serving the San Marcos community on Wednesday, May 29. 

San Marcos Food Tours is a new walking food tour company, which takes participants on a food tour in Downtown San Marcos. Patrons visit three restaurants during happy hour to explore the range of flavors local restaurants bring to the table. 

“San Marcos Food Tours is more than a walking tour of local food,” said James Dean, Chief Executive Gastronome at San Marcos Food Tours. “We want to rekindle the “it’s about the journey” catchphrase back into everyone’s routine vocabulary when visiting San Marcos, Texas.”

Tickets are all-inclusive and cover tastings of adult libations, appetizers & tip of the wait staff. During the tour, the guide shares modest historic tales of what makes “The Mermaid Capital of Texas” unique.

San Marcos Food Tours visit the art from local and sometimes international artists on its path to each local restaurant. All tours start an finish at Rooster’s Emporium, 145 E. Hopkins St. San Marcos, Texas 78666, home to many local San Martian artisans.
