Holiday Meal Boxes Will Be Given To Families Facing Food Insecurity

It’s the season for giving, and Hays County Food Bank is at it again.

Hays County Food Bank will be distributing holiday meal boxes complete with a frozen turkey, corn, green beans, carrots, stuffing, mashed potatoes, pumpkin, cranberry sauce, and applesauce this Friday, December 7th.

Low-income families and others facing food hardships are invited to visit their office between 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM to receive a box. Meal boxes are first come, first served while supplies last.

The food bank asks that no one comes before 11:30 AM as they will be working their normal operations until 12:00 PM and partners will be coming to and from the food bank.

Please park along the street or in the Jackson Chapel parking lot across the street. Please do not block any driveways or park in the grass. Be respectful of the food bank’s neighbors. Hays County Food Bank is located at 220 Herndon Street, San Marcos.

“If you are a client of the food bank, please bring your barcode card. If you are not a client, the food bank will sign you up.”

Residents will not need to show identification or proof of address. If you have any questions, please contact Hays County Food Bank at (512) 392-8300 or email them at info@haysfoodbank.org.
