Hotel Guest Shot Through Wall From Adjacent Room

On Sunday, October 29, at approximately 8:58 am, the Hays County Sheriff’s Office received a 9-1- 1 call from an employee at the Outpost Hotel located at 26200 Ranch Road 12 Dripping Springs, Texas.

The caller reported hearing a gunshot from one of the hotel rooms. When Hays County deputies arrived they discovered a 35 year old male hotel resident who was the victim of a gunshot wound.

The victim had sustained a non-penetrating gunshot wound to his leg from a bullet that had been fired from an adjacent room which penetrated the victim’s hotel room wall.

The victim was treated and released.

The investigation revealed the identity of the person who had rented the hotel room where the weapon had been discharged.

A subsequent area search by deputies discovered the suspect later identified as William Frame w/m 54 years of age, a resident of New Braunfels, and was found walking down Ranch Road 12.

Frame was detained and a search revealed that the suspect was in possession of a handgun.

Frame was arrested for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon,  a second degree felony and booked into the Hays County Jail awaiting magistration.

The Hays County Sheriff’s Office said the case remains under investigation.
