I-35 CORRIDOR ROAD CONSTRUCTION
UPDATE FOR SUNDAY 12/15 – 12/21
I-35 FROM STASSNEY LANE TO WILLIAM CANNON DRIVE
PROJECT OVERVIEW | The project will reconstruct the bridge structures at Stassney Lane and William Cannon Drive, as well as the frontage road bridge over Williamson Creek.
New U-turn bridges will be added in both directions at Stassney Lane and William Cannon Drive, and the I-35 mainlanes will be widened to incorporate shoulders and extended entrance/exit lanes to allow for better merging.
Bicycle and pedestrian enhancements are also being made, and new safety lighting is being installed.

- Alternating closures I-35 frontage roads in each direction between Slaughter Ln and US 290/Ben White Blvd. | 8 PM until 5 AM Sunday, December 16
- Northbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed between William Cannon Dr and Nelms Dr. | 9 AM until 3 PM Monday, December 17 through Friday, December 21
- Southbound I-35 frontage road left lane closed between Colonial Park and Williamson Creek. | 9 AM until 3 PM Monday, December 17 through Friday, December 21
- Southbound I-35 frontage road left lane closed after William Cannon Dr. | 9 AM until 3 PM Monday, December 17 through Friday, December 21
- Southbound I-35 frontage road left lane closed between Stassney Ln and William Cannon Dr. | 9 AM until 3 PM Monday, December 17 through Friday, December 21, and 8 PM until 5 AM Monday through Thursday night.
- I-35 reduced to one lane in each direction between US 290/SH 71 and Slaughter Ln. | 10 PM until 5 AM Monday, December 17 through Thursday, December 20
- Northbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed between Boggy Creek Dr and William Cannon Dr. | 9 AM until 3 PM Monday, December 17 through Friday, December 21
- William Cannon Dr closed across I-35. | 8 PM until 5 AM Sunday, December 16 through Thursday, December 20

I-35 AT OLTORF ST.
PROJECT OVERVIEW | Improvements include the reconstruction of the Oltorf Street bridge, improving entrance/exit ramps and frontage roads, constructing new extended entrance/exit lanes for mainlanes and ramps, and adding U-turns in both directions at Oltorf Street.
Bicycle and pedestrian enhancements will also be made along the I-35 frontage roads in each direction within the project limits.

I-35 FROM RUNDBERG LN. TO US 290 EAST
PROJECT OVERVIEW | This project includes main-lanes and frontage road reconstruction and the addition of three new flyovers at US 183.
The project also includes reconstruction of the St. Johns Avenue Bridge, the addition of frontage road U-turns on both sides, intersection bypass lanes under St. Johns Avenue in both directions, extended entrance/exit lanes, and ramp and shoulder improvements.

- Look for a slow moving rolling closure of the mainlanes and frontage roads in both directions at E. Huntland Dr. | 6 AM until 9 AM Sunday, December 16
- Fenelon Dr closed at the northbound I-35 frontage road. Use Hermitage Drive or Rutherford Ln. | Closed from 9 PM Sunday, December 16 until 5 PM Friday, December 21
- Northbound I-35 two right lanes closed between US 290 East and St. Johns Ave. | 9 PM until 5 AM Sunday, December 16 and Monday, December 17
- I-35 south to northbound turnaround closed at US 183. | 9 PM until 5 AM Sunday, December 16 through Thursday, December 20
- Southbound I-35 frontage road intermittently closed between Blackson Ave and St. Johns Ave. Follow detour signs. | 9 PM until 5 AM Sunday, December 16 through Thursday, December 20
- I-35 left lane closed in both directions between US 290 East and US 183. | 9 PM until 5 AM Tuesday, December 18 through Thursday, December 20
- Northbound I-35 entrance ramp between US 183 and Rundberg Ln closed. | Until noon Saturday, December 15

I-35 AT FM 3406
PROJECT OVERVIEW | The intersection of FM 3406 and the I-35 frontage roads are being improved, and the FM 3406 bridge over I-35 is being reconstructed.
The FM 3406 (Old Settlers Blvd) bridge will close to eastbound traffic. Westbound traffic will detour to the newly constructed U-turn Bridge. | Until summer 2018, weather permitting.

- Southbound I-35 reduced to one lane, and northbound I-35 left lane closed at FM 3406. | 9 PM until 5 AM Sunday, December 16
- Look for closures on the I-35 frontage roads in each direction at FM 3406. | 8 PM until 5 AM Monday, December 17 through Wednesday, December 19
- Northbound I-35 reduced to one lane at FM 3406. | 9 PM until 5 AM Monday, December 17 through Wednesday, December 19

I-35 FROM US 79 TO SH 45 NORTH
PROJECT ACTIVITY | New braided ramps (where one ramp crosses over the other) are being constructed along the northbound I-35 mainlanes between Hesters Crossing and RM 620 to eliminate merging conflicts.
The northbound and southbound intersections of US 79 and the I-35 frontage roads are also being reconstructed to add a third left-turn for westbound US 79

I-35 AT COUNTY ROAD 305
PROJECT OVERVIEW | The project will reconstruct the County Road 305 bridge and realign County Road 304 East to connect to the newly constructed bridge. Pedestrian enhancements will also be made within the project limits.
