SAN MARCOS – The Texas Department of Transportation is planning overnight I-35 frontage road closures in alternating directions between Posey Road and York Creek Road so crews can safely convert the last remaining two-way frontage roads on I-35 to one-way in Hays County. (Please see map below for more information.)

The northbound I-35 frontage road and Posey Road exit ramp will fully close on Sunday, March 17 from 9 PM to 5 AM.

The southbound I-35 frontage road and Posey Road exit ramp, will fully close on Monday, March 18 from 9 PM until 5 AM During the closures, a detour will be in place so crews can safely restripe the I-35 frontage roads to a one-way configuration.

Road signs have been placed to alert drivers of the upcoming closures. TxDOT asks the traveling public to be patient and remain aware when traveling through the work zone.

These closures are part of the Mobility35 program which will bring mobility, safety, and connectivity for all modes of transportation. To learn more about this project and the Mobility35 program, visit My35Construction.org.
