for Week of April 7 – April 13
• SPECIAL TRAFFIC ALERT •
I-35 Mainlanes to Close Near Oltorf Street for Overhead Sign Replacement
Crews will temporarily close the southbound I-35 mainlanes to traffic on Tuesday, April 9, 10 p.m. until 6 a.m. for the placement of large overhead signage between Woodlane Avenue and the entrance ramp south of Oltorf Street.
During the closure, southbound I-35 mainlane traffic will be diverted to the frontage road at the Oltorf Street exit (232) and will re-enter I-35 at the entrance ramps south of Oltorf Street. Woodland Avenue and Oltorf Street at I-35 will close to traffic during this time. Drivers wishing to cross I-35 at Woodland Avenue or Oltorf Street should use Woodward Street or Riverside Drive. Drivers are encouraged to exit early to seek other routes during the closure as delays are expected.
I-35 AT POSEY ROAD
Currently, the I-35 mainlanes go under Posey Road. The new configuration will have the I-35 mainlanes going over Posey Road.

I-35 FROM STASSNEY LANE TO WILLIAM CANNON DRIVE
New U-turn bridges will be added in both directions at Stassney Lane and William Cannon Drive, and the I-35 mainlanes will be widened to incorporate shoulders and extended entrance/exit lanes to allow for better merging.
Bicycle and pedestrian enhancements are also being made, and new safety lighting is being installed.

I-35 AT OLTORF ST.
Additionally, construction of new extended entrance/exit lanes for mainlanes and ramps, and adding U-turns in both directions at Oltorf Street.
Bicycle and pedestrian enhancements will also be made along the I-35 frontage roads in each direction within the project limits.

I-35 FROM RUNDBERG LN. TO US 290 EAST
The project also includes reconstruction of the St. Johns Avenue Bridge, the addition of frontage road U-turns on both sides, intersection bypass lanes under St. Johns Avenue in both directions, extended entrance/exit lanes, and ramp and shoulder improvements.

I-35 AT FM 3406
The FM 3406 (Old Settlers Blvd) bridge will close to eastbound traffic. Westbound traffic will detour to the newly constructed U-turn Bridge.
