THE STAND-INS (2015):   New documentary chronicling the Central Texas protest movement in the early 1960s that triggered desegregation at scores of movie theaters across the South.  Filmmakers & civil rights veterans in attendance!

GIANT (1956):   The legendary film starring Elizabeth Taylor, Rock Hudson & James Dean, in his final performance, that highlighted injustices confronted by Texans of Mexican ancestry

INSECURUS (2015):   A penetrating documentary on recent elimination of in-person visitation at nearly two dozen Texas county jails – replaced by “video visitation,” a costly system with often faulty equipment that deprives loved ones of face-to-face contact.  Film followed by panel of award-winning criminal-justice advocates: Lauren Johnson & Jorge Antonio Renaud of Grassroots Leadership.
