Improvements to Traffic Light At Main and FM 967

The City has been working with TxDOT to address the problem.

In recent weeks, many of you have reached out to the City of Buda regarding timing issues with the traffic light at Main Street and FM 967.

The City has been working with TxDOT to address the problem. As of right now, the green time on the left arrow has been increased by 40%. Detector settings were adjusted to improve the performance of the arrow.

The cameras that detect vehicles were cleaned, and it was also determined that the video detection processor was not working properly. It has since been replaced.

As part of the Proposition 3 improvements (streets), the intersection of Main St. and FM 967 will ultimately be improved and the light system will be replaced next year.
