Individual who vandalized Dripping Springs City Hall caught “Red handed”

HAYS COUNTY- On March 10, 2021, patrol deputies responded to the Dripping Springs City Hall building for a report of graffiti and criminal mischief. Deputies discovered the building had been spray-painted and a window had been broken in the early morning hours of March 10th.

Video captured by a surveillance system was sent out on social media by Dripping Springs employees and the Hays County Sheriff’s Office that led to the possible identity for the person involved. Further investigation by the Criminal Investigations Division led to the location of the suspect, Bonnie Laurel Gibson, W/F, DOB: 05/25/1994, in Dripping Springs, Texas.

Investigators made contact with Gibson, discovered paint on her hands, on the outside of her vehicle, and in the interior of the vehicle that matched the color of the graffiti on the city hall building. Gibson was
arrested on a warrant for Criminal Mischief, a State Jail Felony, and transported to the Hays County
Jail. A bond has not been set.

The City is grateful to the Sheriff’s department and the citizens of Dripping Springs. Mayor Bill Foulds, Jr. says, “We want to thank the Sheriff’s team for taking such quick action. We also want to thank the citizens of Dripping Springs for the outpouring of help. The City coming together is what makes our community so great.”
