Thursday, January 1- Friday, January 9, 2015

  • Christmas Tree and Bagged Leaf Drop Off, Grant Harris, Jr. Building, 401 E. Hopkins. Drop off live Christmas trees and bags of leaves at the fenced off area in the parking lot. Be sure all ornaments and lights are removed from Christmas trees, and sticks and branches removed from bags of leaves.

 

Thursday, January 1, 2015

  • New Year’s Holiday, City of San Marcos offices, including City Hall, Library, Nature Center,  Activity Center, Municipal Building, Household Hazardous Waste Center and Electric Utility, will be closed for the New Year’s Holiday. Offices will reopen at regular hours on Jan. 2. Texas Disposal Systems will collect Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday routes as usual and will move Thursday and Friday routes to the next day.

Friday, January 2, 2015

  • San Marcos Municipal Court at the Hays County Government Center, 712 S. Stagecoach Trail, will be closed in accordance with the Hays County facility holiday schedule.
  • City Council, packet meeting, 12 noon, Council Chambers, City Hall, 630 E. Hopkins. Workshop to review agenda for Jan. 6 regular City Council meeting. (Televised live on Time Warner Ch. 10, Grande Ch. 16 or 123-16 and video streamed).

  • Farmers Market, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., San Antonio Street on south side of the courthouse. Fresh produce, plants, arts and crafts every Saturday downtown.

Saturday, January 10, 2015

  • Free Brush Drop Off and Mulching for San Marcos residential garbage & recycling customers (please bring your utility bill). Enter at San Marcos Animal Shelter, 750 River Road, and follow the signs.  Held second Saturday of each month (weather permitting) from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • Farmers Market, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., San Antonio Street on south side of the courthouse. Fresh produce, arts and crafts every Saturday downtown.
