- Christmas Tree and Bagged Leaf Drop Off, Grant Harris, Jr. Building, 401 E. Hopkins. Drop off live Christmas trees and bags of leaves at the fenced off area in the parking lot. Be sure all ornaments and lights are removed from Christmas trees, and sticks and branches removed from bags of leaves.

- New Year’s Holiday, City of San Marcos offices, including City Hall, Library, Nature Center, Activity Center, Municipal Building, Household Hazardous Waste Center and Electric Utility, will be closed for the New Year’s Holiday. Offices will reopen at regular hours on Jan. 2. Texas Disposal Systems will collect Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday routes as usual and will move Thursday and Friday routes to the next day.
