KSMB Spring Concert Concludes With Big Cedar Fever

This trio band formed in January of this year, but don’t let their short time together fool you.

The last concert in the Keep San Marcos Beautiful Live on the Lawn Concert Series at San Marcos Plaza Park will feature Big Cedar Fever on Thursday, April 26 at San Marcos Plaza Park, 401 E. Hopkins, located at the corner of CM Allen Parkway and Hopkins.

Pre-concert events begin at 6:30 p.m., and concert headliners take the stage at approximately 7:30 p.m.

Big Cedar Fever: This trio band formed in January of this year, but don’t let their short time together fool you. Harmonizing and individual instrumental solos are just the start of what this string swing band has to offer. Be ready to be swept away by Big Cedar Fever!

This week’s sustainability theme will feature all of the topics previously covered throughout the concert series. We will have booths covering resource recovery, food ideas in the community, water and energy conservation, and transportation.

In case of severe weather, the concert will be moved to The Marc, 102 E. San Antonio Street. Free public, on-street parking is available within walking distance of the concert, as well as at City Park.

The parking lots at the Chamber of Commerce and Old Fish Hatchery will be closed to the general public, and parking attendants will be on hand to allow for volunteer, vendor, and sponsor parking. The parking lot at the Grant Harris, Jr. Building/Parks and Recreation main office is designated handicap accessible parking.

The public is invited to bring lawn chairs to enjoy the free concert. Responsible use of alcohol is allowed at this event for those over 21. Park rules prohibit Styrofoam, glass, and smoking.

Big Cedar Fever will be the last act for this year’s KSMB Live on the Lawn concert series. Follow us on Facebook at www.facebook.com/smtxcommunityservices for upcoming events, and join us on Saturday April 28 for the 72° Festival from noon to 9 p.m. at Plaza Park, 401 E Hopkins.

Live on the Lawn is made possible by support from The Root Cellar Café, Texas Disposal Systems, Lawn Doctor of South Austin – San Marcos, Carson Properties, Mensor, Mystic Marks Tattoo, and Ault and Ault Orthodontics.
