KYLE, TEXAS – The Kyle City Council received a presentation regarding improvements to Mary Kyle Hartson City Square Park during their regular meeting on Tuesday, Dec. 1.
The landscape design was presented by Aan Coleman, founder of Coleman & Associates, and includes amenities such as improved ADA access, a 20-foot-wide paver promenade, expanded seating areas, picnic table areas, a low-profile kid corral, and an educational rain garden.
“There are a lot of wonderful aspects about these designs for City Square Park that incorporate features that are important to our community like inclusive walkways and seating areas as well as a respect for historical preservation and cohesiveness,” Councilmember Dex Ellison said. “And hopefully one day, it’ll make a great place to gather again as a community.”
The improvements will be funded through settlement funds paid to the City of Kyle by Kinder Morgan under the 2019 settlement agreement between the City of Kyle and the Permian Highway Pipeline, LLC, and Kinder Morgan Texas Pipeline, LLC.
