Kyle City Council Sets Budget Retreat And Public Hearing Dates

Kyle City Manager, Scott Sellers, will present his proposed budget for FY 2015-2016 at the city council Budget Retreat #2 to be held on Saturday, August 1st. The retreat will be held at the Kyle City Hall and will begin at 8 A.M.. The city council budget retreat #1 was held on Saturday, March 28th, where the city council’s budget priorities for operating and capital budgets were discussed.
The complete line item budget will be made available to the city council and the public on Monday, July 27th. The budget document in its entirety will be available online at www.cityofkyle.com. Hard copies will also be available at Kyle City Hall and the Kyle Public Library.
After the second budget retreat, there will be two public hearings to take input from citizens on the proposed budget and rates. These public hearings are scheduled for Wednesday, August 19th, and Wednesday, August 26th.
The City Council is scheduled to adopt the budget and rates at their regular meeting on September 1st (1st reading), and at a special called meeting on Tuesday, September 7th (2nd reading).
