Kyle, TX – Kyle Police are investigating a single vehicle motorcycle fatality of an adult male that occurred overnight in Kyle.
Kyle Police Chief Jeff Barnett said the accident happened at about 10:40 PM near the Sonic on FM 150 West.
“The driver was headed westbound and veered off the road, striking a trailer parked in the grass,” he said. “The road was closed until about 2 AM. while officers conducted their investigation.”
Daniel Rodriguez, 41, of Kyle was the lone occupant on the motorcycle. Police said Rodriguez was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
Barnett said Rodriguez was transported from the scene by Hays County / San Marcos EMS to Ascension/Seton Hays and was later pronounced deceased by Hays Co. Pct. 2 Justice of the Peace Beth Smith. She ordered an autopsy be performed.
According to KPD Lt. Andre Marmolejo, Rodriguez’s next of kin has been notified.
