Kyle Mayor To Give State Of The City Address

Kyle, Texas – On October 22nd, during the State of the City Address, Kyle Mayor Travis Mitchell will provide updates on multiple large initiatives taking place in Kyle. The address takes place during the Kyle Chamber Luncheon, which begins at 11:30 a.m. at Texas Old Town’s Sage Hall, located at1205 Roland Lane, in Kyle.

“Mayor Mitchell will focus on issues and opportunities identified by our Kyle business community, including future economic development projects, road improvements, infrastructure and the 2019-20 proposed budget,” Kyle Chamber CEO Julie Snyder said. “We look forward to hearing about the city’s progress and its future to sustain a strong local economy.”

Mitchell is expected to discuss many topics; perhaps most importantly, provide a significant update on the mixed-use development in Uptown Kyle. His remarks are expected to elaborate on the city’s quest for a private hotel and convention center, a vertical class A office building, a new public park, and how these projects will be funded. Additionally, the mayor is expected to speak on how these plans will allow for the city to responsibly prepare plans for a new police station.

“This is an incredible season of opportunity for Kyle. If we focus our resources and lead with vision, the future of our city can be one where businesses and residents equally share in economic prosperity,” Mitchell said.

Snyder said she is excited about Mitchell’s address.

“This luncheon is an excellent opportunity to hear straight from the source what is happening in and around Kyle,” Snyder said. “We look forward to hearing about what the council is working on for the future and how it directly impacts our business community.”
