Following the arrest of one man who admitted to a recent spate of car burglaries in Kyle neighborhoods, Kyle Police are looking for his alleged accomplice.
Officers from Kyle Police Department (KPD) arrested Kendall McDowel, 20, for burglarizing vehicles in the Silverado and Spring Branch subdivisions in mid-November.
That man gave investigators the name Christopher Martin (DOB 7/22/94) as the person who helped him burglarize vehicles in Silverado.
KPD Chief Jeff Barnett said there were 27 reported car burglaries over two nights last month. Even after McDowel’s arrest, police received additional reports of car burglaries in other areas of town as well. Barnett recommended continued vigilance among Kyle residents.
Martin has six active warrants out for his arrest, according to Barnett. His current whereabouts are unknown though it is believed he may be staying in Austin. Kyle Police said Martin has ties to 212 Fall Creek Dr., as well.
Anyone with information about the Christopher Martin sought by police in connection with car burglaries in the Silverado neighborhood of Kyle should contact KPD at 512-268-3232. If you see a burglary in progress, call 911.
