A police facility needs assessment is currently underway in the city of Kyle. The assessment should be completed by mid-February and will identify the square footage needed for a future headquarters that could accommodate the city’s growth.
The current headquarters used to be a bank and is the fourth building to accommodate a growing police force.
The assessment will cover several options, including building a new facility and retrofitting existing buildings. The scope of the approved proposal includes a 20-year needs assessment that includes parking.
