Gary Job Corps’ Community Relations Council presented the Public Service Award to Kyle Police Officer Dago Pates.
The award was given to Officer Pates for his dedication to the community and support of the International Day of Peace sponsored by the Gary Job Corps Student Government Association.
Dago is a 2005 graduate of the Gary Job Corps Center and took the corrections and security vocation. He has been a mentor, lecturer, and partner with the Gary Center throughout the years; he was also awarded the title as a “Job Corps Hero” at the 50th Anniversary of Job Corps in Washington D.C.
