Currently, the I-35 main lanes go under Posey Road with the new configuration, I-35 main lanes will going over Posey Road.
This project is made possible by a partnership between Hays County/TxDOT and is expected to cost $31.7 million funded by TxDOT.
The I-35 and Posey Road construction started in February 2019 and anticipated construction completion is planned for mid-2021. The project contractor is Webber, LLC.
All closures are weather permitting.

Northbound I-35 Posey Road exit (#199) closed.

Southbound I-35 York Creek Road exit (#196) closed.

The estimated construction cost is $21.9 million and is funded by the Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (CAMPO) and TxDOT. Construction commenced in September 2020 and its anticipated completion is early 2022. Hunter Industries, Ltd is the contractor for this project.

Northbound I-35 frontage road left lane closed from FM 150 to Brent Boulevard.

New U-turn bridges will be added in both directions at Stassney Lane and William Cannon Drive, and the I-35 main lanes will be widened to incorporate shoulders and extended entrance/exit lanes to allow for better merging.
This major project is estimated to cost $78.8 million. Construction started in July 2016 with the anticipated completion in late 2020. The contractor for this project is OHL, USA, Inc.

Northbound I-35 frontage road reduced to one lane daily from Boggy Creek Drive to Stassney Lane. The William Cannon Drive entrance ramp will also be closed.

Southbound I-35 right lane closed daily from Stassney Lane to Slaughter Lane. Multiple entrances and exit ramps will close as needed.

Southbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed daily from William Cannon Drive to Corral Street.

Northbound I-35 frontage road left lane closed daily from William Cannon Drive to Stassney Lane. The William Cannon Drive entrance ramp will also be closed.
• Wednesday, Dec. 16 through Friday, Dec. 18 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.

I-35 from Rundberg Lane to US 290 East is estimated to cost $124.2 million and is made possible by Texas Clear Lanes Congestion Relief Fund.
The construction commenced in January 2018 with an anticipated completion date in mid-2021. The contractor for this project is J.D. Abrams.

Southbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed nightly from Blackson Avenue to Huntland Drive.
• Sunday, Dec. 13 through Thursday, Dec. 17 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
Northbound US 183 frontage road closed nightly from Norwood Park Boulevard to Clock Tower Drive. The Lamar Boulevard/I-35 exit will also be closed.
• Sunday, Dec. 13 through Thursday, Dec. 17 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
Northbound US 183 frontage road closed nightly from I-35 to Gessner Drive.
• Sunday, Dec. 13 through Thursday, Dec. 17 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
Southbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed daily from Blackson Avenue to Huntland Drive.
• Monday, Dec. 14 through Friday, Dec. 18 from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.
Southbound I-35 frontage road left lane closed daily from Rundberg Lane to Powell Lane.
• Monday, Dec. 14 through Tuesday, Dec. 15 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
Southbound US 183 frontage road reduced to one lane from I-35 to Carver Avenue.
• Monday, Dec. 14 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
Northbound I-35 closed from US 290 East to Rundberg Lane. The US 290 East entrance ramp and northbound I-35 to northbound US 183 flyover will also be closed.
• Wednesday, Dec. 16 from 11 p.m. until 5 a.m.
Southbound I-35 closed from Rundberg Lane to St. Johns Avenue. The Rundberg Lane entrance ramp will also be closed.
• Thursday, Dec. 17 from 11 p.m. until 5 a.m.

The projected cost is estimated at $8.2 million and funded by CAMPO and TxDOT. Construction will start in August 2020 and anticipated to be complete in mid-2021. The project contractor is Jordan Foster Construction.

The estimated construction cost for this project is funded by Texas Clear Lanes and Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (CAMPO) with an estimated cost of $24.6 million.
Construction started in July 2019 with an estimated timeline to be completed by mid-2021. Primoris Services Corporation is the project contractor.
