Currently, the I-35 main lanes go under Posey Road. With the new configuration, I-35 main lanes will be going over Posey Road.
This project is made possible by a partnership between Hays County/TxDOT and is expected to cost $31.7 million funded by TxDOT.
The I-35 and Posey Road construction started in February 2019, and anticipated construction completion is planned for mid-2021. The project contractor is Webber, LLC.
All closures are weather permitting.

Eastbound and westbound Posey Road closed at the I-35 frontage road.

The estimated construction cost is $21.9 million and is funded by the CAMPO and TxDOT. Construction commenced in September 2020, and its anticipated completion is early 2022. Hunter Industries, Ltd is the contractor for this project.

Northbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed from FM 1626 to Kyle Crossing.

The estimated construction cost is $14 million funded by CAMPO and TxDOT. Construction commenced in January 2021, and its anticipated completion in mid-2022. Hunter Industries, Ltd is the contractor for this project.

New U-turn bridges will be added in both directions at Stassney Lane and William Cannon Drive. The I-35 main lanes will be widened to incorporate shoulders and extended entrance/exit lanes to allow for a smoother merge onto I-35.
This major project is estimated to cost $78.8 million. Construction started in July 2016, with the anticipated completion in late 2020. The contractor for this project is OHL, USA, Inc.

• Through Sunday, April 18 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
Southbound I-35 right lane closed from Boggy Creek Drive to Slaughter Lane.
• Sunday, April 18 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
Northbound I-35 William Cannon Drive exit (#228) closed.
• Monday, April 19 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
Southbound I-35 frontage road left lane closed daily from Boggy Creek Drive to Corral Lane.
• Monday, April 19 through Tuesday, April 20 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
Southbound I-35 reduced to one lane from Stassney Lane to William Cannon Drive.
• Tuesday, April 20 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.

I-35 from Rundberg Lane to US 290 East is estimated to cost $124.2 million and is made possible by Texas Clear Lanes Congestion Relief Fund.
The construction commenced in January 2018, with an anticipated completion date in mid-2021. The contractor for this project is J.D. Abrams.

Northbound I-35 left two lanes closed nightly from US 290 to Rundberg Lane. Multiple exits and entrance ramps will also be closed.

Southbound I-35 reduced to one lane nightly from Rundberg Lane to US 183. The Rundberg Lane entrance ramp and US 183/St. Johns Avenue exit (#240) will also be closed.

Southbound I-35 right lane closed nightly from Braker Lane to Rundberg Lane. The Braker Lane entrance ramp will also be closed.

Northbound and southbound I-35 frontage road left lane closed nightly from Rundberg Lane to US 183.
• Sunday, April 18 through Thursday, April 22 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
Northbound I-35 frontage road closed nightly from US 183 to Norwood Park Boulevard.
• Sunday, April 18 through Thursday, April 22 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
Northbound I-35 frontage road rolling closure nightly at US 183.
• Sunday, April 18 through Thursday, April 22 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
Northbound I-35 frontage road reduced to one lane nightly from Norwood Park Boulevard to Rundberg Lane. The Rundberg Lane entrance ramp will also be closed.

Northbound US 183 closed nightly from Cameron Road to I-35. The Norwood Park Boulevard entrance ramp will also be closed.

Southbound US 183 reduced to one lane nightly from I-35 to Cameron Road. The Cameron Road entrance ramp will also be closed.

Northbound US 183 frontage road closed nightly from Norwood Park Boulevard to I-35.
• Sunday, April 18 through Thursday, April 22 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
Northbound I-35 frontage road reduced to one lane daily from Park Plaza Drive to Rundberg Lane.
• Monday, April 19 through Tuesday, April 20 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
Southbound I-35 frontage road left lane closed daily from Rundberg Lane to Powell Lane.
• Monday, April 19 through Tuesday, April 20 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
Northbound US 183 frontage road closed nightly from Cameron Road to I-35. The Norwood Park Boulevard entrance ramp will also be closed.
• Tuesday, April 20 through Wednesday, April 21 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
Northbound I-35 US 183 exit (#239) closed continuously.
• Friday, April 23 through Sunday, April 25 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.

This project’s estimated construction cost is funded by Texas Clear Lanes and CAMPO with an estimated $24.6 million cost.
Construction started in July 2019 with an estimated timeline to be completed by mid-2021. Primoris Services Corporation is the project contractor.
