Kyle, TDS Partners With Central Texas Food Bank For November Mass Food Distribution

KYLE, TEXAS – The Central Texas Food Bank in partnership with the City of Kyle and Texas Disposal Systems is hosting a mass food distribution event on Saturday, Nov. 14 from 9 AM to 12 PM at Lehman High School, 1700 Lehman Road.

Central Texas residents facing food insecurity can drive to the event to receive a box of assorted produce, milk, and a protein box.

Actual contents may vary depending on availability. All are welcome and no registration is required.

In response to the public health crisis, Central Texas Food Bank distributions have been converted to a drive-thru model and volunteers place food into each vehicle’s trunk.

The food bank is asking that each household only send one person to the event, and that all attendees come in vehicles — there will be no walk-up distribution — to adhere to social distancing requirements.

To sign up to volunteer at the November Mass Food Distribution go to https://cafb.volunteerhub.com/event/index/12688543.

Traffic for the event will begin as early as 6 or 7 AM. Drivers are advised to avoid the Lehman High School area during the event, if possible, due to the increased traffic.

From May through October, citywide Mass Food Distributions have provided food for 6,421 households, with a total of 23,126 individuals served.
