Kyle To Host Santa Claus During Tree Lighting Ceremony

With Thanksgiving come and gone already, officials are gearing up for the 2018 Winter Holiday Season.

Staff Reports

The City of Kyle will host Santa Claus, Wednesday, November 28, for the annual tree lighting event in downtown.

Since 1999, Kyle has invited Santa to Mary Kyle Hartson City Square Park every year for the city’s official kick off to the holidays.

The event takes place on the Wednesday after Thanksgiving. Holiday music is performed by local elementary, middle and high school choirs.

Free activities are available for children including visits with Santa. Parents are welcome to take photos of their kids with Santa.

Food vendors will provide food and drinks, and the Kyle Area Youth Advisory Council will be selling the makings for S’mores and drinks as part of their traditional holiday fundraising campaign.

According to the city of Kyle, there are no available spaces for vendors. Residents can find a tentative schedule for the event below. Due to this being his busiest time of year, Santa will stick to the final schedule on the day of the event.
