Last Chance To Purchase Tickets To Stars Of Texas Gala

This year’s silent auction to feature mobile bidding component.
The 23rd annual Stars of Texas Gala will take place on Sunday, October 11 at Embassy Suites Hotel, Spa, and Conference Center. The last day to purchase tickets and sponsorships is Wednesday, Sept. 30. Both may be obtained online at ctmcgala.com
In addition to gourmet dining and a performance by Grammy Award Winner Diamond Rio, this year’s gala will feature a unique silent auction. For the first time, smartphones will be used to bid on items.
“We use smartphones for checking emails, texting family, and friends and finding restaurants,” said Jerilyn Miller, manager of the Central Texas Medical Center (CTMC) Foundation. “This year the auction will be on your phone, so don’t forget to bring your smartphone to the gala so you can participate in our exciting new mobile bidding model.”
Some of the items that will be up for grabs in this year’s silent auction include:
  • AKC registered bulldog puppy
  • Embassy Suites’ girlfriend weekend (three rooms, manicures, pedicures, massages and dinner for six)
  • Diamond Rio autographed guitar
  • 4 Texas Rangers Tickets with hotel stay
  • 4 Dallas Stars tickets with hotel stay
  • Texas State University Football Fan Experience
  • Spurs tickets
  • Frozen memorabilia autographed by the entire cast
  • Designer handbags
  • Le Crueset cookware
Each year, the Stars of Texas Gala supports service and technology expansions that keep CTMC on the leading edge. This year’s proceeds will benefit the Ingram Heart Center at CTMC. In addition, the event will pay a special tribute to Bruce and Gloria Ingram, whose community involvement and generous philanthropic gifts have left a lasting footprint on San Marcos and Texas.
“The Ingrams have bolstered our community through their charitable spirits and dedication to those in need,” said CTMC Foundation Board Chairperson Celena McGuill. “Through the years, they’ve provided ongoing support to the hospital and we are pleased to honor Bruce and Gloria at this special event.”
Tickets to the Gala cost $200. For more information, or to purchase tickets and sponsorships, visit ctmcgala.com.
