    • Marc,
We published it the way yesterday's numbers were sent to us. However, since you mention it, we can see how that might be confusing.

      Thank you,
      Your Corridor Team

  • Secretary of State site has a cumulative 5,174 mail-in votes for Hays on Nov. 1

    I figured if you're reporting 145 BBM (assuming that's Ballot By Mail?) for Nov. 2, it would be 5,174 + 145 = 5,319 mail-in ballots for Hays?

    • Marc,

We receive all the early voting totals from Hays County Elections office and can only report what is given to us. We wanted to show how many people were voting at the various locations throughout Hays County, whereas the SOS lumps the county totals together.

We have updated our Mail-In ballot numbers to match the SOS, however the SOS EV numbers are only through close of business on Thursday, November 1. So, unfortunately our numbers still do not match what's on SOS website. They are different and will be different until the SOS updates their totals.

We can only be sure of the accuracy of the totals after the votes are tabulated and certified.

      Thank you,
      You Corridor News Team

  • And I appreciate that you were the only outlet to publish by polling location! Thank you for keeping Hays County informed!

p.s. I see the SoS numbers are up now and it looks like they're now reporting 5,321 mail-in ballots. Don't know where those other 2 came from!

    • Marc,

You are very welcome, however we are just doing our job.

      Thank you for reading!
