LBJ Museum Slates 16th Annual Ted Breihan Open Golf Tournament

The LBJ Museum of San Marcos invites sponsors and teams to join the 16th Annual Golf Tournament/ Ted Breihan Open, slated for Saturday, June 9, 2018, at Quail Creek Country Club.

Teams may register online. The top three teams will win trophies. Thirteen teams have registered so far for the tournament. Other interested teams are urged to sign up as soon as possible.

The tournament, in Florida Scramble format, is set for Saturday, June 9 with a rain date of June 16, 2018.  The annual Golf Tournament is named in honor of Ted Breihan, longtime civic leader and supporter of the LBJ Museum of San Marcos.

Area businesses and individuals donating to raffle items Dick’s Car Museum, Aquabrew, Crafthouse, Ralph Garcia, Levali’s Mediterranean Grill, LBJ Museum of San Marcos, Root Cellar, Evo Entertainment Group, the Driskill Hotel, Abigail’s Cabin, Whataburger, Kendra Scott, Grins, Cody’s Bistro and Elevate, Kent Black’s BBQ, Seguin Brewing Company, Rowing Dock, Pluckers, Twin Liquors, Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center, the Taproom, Wimberley Glass Works, Capital Cruises, and Top Golf.

Food and beverage sponsors include Chick Fil A, Mochas and Javas, Chunk Deuce BBQ, Palmer’s Restaurant, Linda Rodriguez, Carmen Imel, and HEB.

Located at 131 N.  Guadalupe St. on the Square in San Marcos, the LBJ Museum honors the Hill Country legacy of President Lyndon B. Johnson, who gained his early political start in San Marcos as a college student.

The museum is free and open to the public Thursday-Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. with facilities available for rent for area organizations.
