By, Terra Rivers | Managing Editor

The League of Women Voters’ will host a non-partisan training session called “Ready To Vote 2019” in San Marcos on October 5.

The event will be presented at the Cephas House in San Marcos from 10 AM to 12 PM. Participants will learn about the new county-wide voting centers, how to interact with the new voting machines and what is on the ballot for the upcoming election.

Ready to Vote 2019 will also include the language of each of the ten constitutional amendments on this year’s ballot, information on what each one entails and arguments for and against.

Early voting will take place from October 21 to November 1, and election day is November 5.

The League of Women Voters is celebrating its 100th anniversary this fall; the organization was formed to support voters in making informed decisions.

The Vote411.org online program sponsored by the League provides individualized information on local, state and national elections.

The League also holds debates and forums in the municipalities of San Marcos, Wimberley and Dripping Springs in Hays County.  The Ready to Vote Training is an extension of voter support services that are well known in the community.
