Local Author To Hold Book Reading, Signing In San Marcos

A local author has added a book reading and signing date to her book tour in San Marcos.

Diana Finlay Hendricks, a creative writer and journalist, has recently published a new book Delbert McClinton: One of the Fortunate Few.

The celebratory reading and signing party will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 19, at Palmer’s restaurant, bar and courtyard from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

“Several people had asked about a local book signing before Christmas in San Marcos,” Hendricks said, “And Monte generously offered Palmer’s (my favorite local eatery!) Pepe Zevada even offered to host a complementary Z tequila tasting.”

The book follows the life of Delbert McClinton, a blues rock and electric blues songwriter and musician.

Attendees will have the opportunity to purchase a copy of the book for $30 or bring previously purchased copies for signing. There will be a cash bar and full menu available.

Hendricks is the Director of Communications at the Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training Center at Texas State University. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with an emphasis in Texas music history, mass communications and creative writing from Texas State University.
