Local Business Owners Open A New Restaurant And Grocery

SAN MARCOS, Texas – Local San Marcos business owners for the past three years, Lindsey and Martin Gentry, have opened a new restaurant in the San Marcos Center plaza located at 700 N. LBJ Drive. Cheer & Chow is a unique hybrid concept, combining a local market with various specialty items and a modern restaurant. Cheer & Chow started from a desire to create a place that was cool and different, that could be flexible in its offerings, could provide a social setting which consumers of all backgrounds would appreciate, and would give people a break from the hustle and bustle of day-to-day life!

The establishment features all fresh ingredients and chef inspired items such as flatbreads, wraps, hamburgers, and salads. The market features items that you won’t find at your typical grocery store, as it features natural food items from small proprietors from all over Texas. The idea is to provide something unique and fresh that is specifically tailored to the needs of San Martians!

The market section also offers grab-and-go items like freshly prepared salads, homemade baked goods and unique hummus plates. The Gentry’s have partnered with companies like Stumptown Coffee out of Portland, Oregon, and Maine Root, an Austin original, to further support their unique edge. Cheer & Chow offers a wide variety of Central Texas craft beers and cold brew coffee on tap. Cheer & Chow has a variety of milkshakes on their menu that have tailored recipes to meet the expectations of anyone who loves a cold dessert.

Cheer & Chow offers delivery and catering services throughout San Marcos and has late hours in order to accommodate those who may want a delicious snack or brew after hours. San Marcos residents can expect to always see new, fresh items on the menu as Lindsey and Martin strive to bring uniqueness to their market patrons each and every day.
