Loop 82 / Aquarena Springs Drive And Additional Intersections To Close Four Nights Over The Next Week…

Loop 82 (Aquarena Springs Drive) will be closed in San Marcos on four nights over the next week, so the Texas Department of Transportation can continue constructing a new overpass near Bobcat Stadium. The closures are weather permitting.

All lanes of Loop 82 will be closed between Charles Austin Drive and Mill Street, including the Post Road intersection, on Tuesday and Thursday, Mar. 20 and 22 from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m.

On Monday and Tuesday, Mar. 26 and 27, the lanes will be closed from 6 p.m. until 6 a.m. Traffic will detour via Thorpe Lane and Charles Austin Drive. (See detour map below.)

Crews will be pouring concrete on the new bridge deck.

Road signs have been placed to alert drivers of the closure. Motorists should allow extra time to travel through this area during the affected hours. TxDOT asks the traveling public to be patient and remain aware when traveling through the work zone.
