San Marcos is also celebrating 30 years as an accredited Main Street city through the National Main Street Center. Current and former Main Street Advisory Board members, committee members, volunteers and city officials will be recognized as special guests at the awards ceremony.

This appreciation event will feature a cocktail hour with appetizers, signature cocktails and live music followed by an awards presentation.

Members of the community are invited to attend the ceremony honoring the outstanding businesses and partners that contribute to a unique and vibrant downtown where people of all ages connect, create, and celebrate.

Over 1,000 nominations were received for the various categories from the local community and finalists were selected based on the newly adopted vision statement of the Main Street program.

Winners will be selected by a committee based on set criteria and contributions to downtown.

Please join the Main Street Program in congratulating each of the finalists. To RSVP for the event, visit LoveDowntownAwards.SplashThat.com or contact the Main Street Program Office at mainstreet@sanmarcostx.gov. Reservations will be accepted until Oct. 10
