Main Street San Marcos Names ‘Bower Bird Antiques And Curiosities’ As July Business Of The Month…

M
ain Street is proud to present the Downtown Business of the Month award for July to Bower Bird Antiques and Curiosities in honor of their longevity as a Downtown business and their positive influence in the local community.

Owner and curator Katinka Pinka started Bower Bird in San Marcos over five years ago as a vintage collectibles and antique store. Today, it is an eclectic mix of home decor, handmade jewelry, antique treasures and much more.

Bower Bird is a prime example of small business collaboration, partnering with local vendors and sourcing from nearby estate sales. Additionally, the store shares upstairs space with Daughter of the Wild, a small business that sells succulent plants and handmade jewelry.

The shop, located at 215 N Comanche Street, has been active in the Downtown community through participating in events such as the Third Thursday Walkabout and is highly regarded for bringing curated originality and culture to Downtown.

The Main Street Program congratulates Bower Bird for its endurance as a business and for continuing to be a must-shop spot in San Marcos.

If you know of a business within the Downtown San Marcos area which fulfills the criteria below and is worthy of this award, please contact Main Street at mainstreetinfo@sanmarcostx.gov.
