Breaking: San Marcos Man Arrested On Child Pornography Charges

On Thursday, June 8, 2017, the Hays County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at the 200 block of Bridlewood, in San Marcos, Hays County.

The mission commenced when Hays County SO received a credible report from the Internet Crimes Against Child (ICAC) Task Force involving child pornography.

The investigation culminated in the recovery of an extensive collection of child pornography that had been received and uploaded via the internet. This criminal activity was traced back to the occupant of the resident.

The criminal is identified as Ernesto Baldivia, Hispanic Male, Date of Birth: 07/24/1983. Baldivia was arrested on 10 counts of Child Pornography, third degree felonies.

Baldivia was magistrated by Justice of the Peace, Beth Smith, Precinct 2 who set a $25,000 bond on each count. Baldivia is currently incarcerated at the Hays County Jail on a total bond of $250,000.

The investigation is ongoing therefore no further information can be released as this investigation continues.
