March Is Brain Injury Awareness Month

Join the Office of Acquired Brain Injury in observing Brain Injury Awareness Month this March!

Brain Injury Awareness Month is a time to celebrate brain injury survivors, their families and their caregivers. It is also a time to raise awareness about the enormous prevalence of this issue and bring attention to the needs of individuals living with a brain injury. This March, the Office of Acquired Brain Injury (OABI) will be raising awareness, providing education, promoting prevention and offering service referral and coordination related to brain injury. The OABI team invites you to join them in raising awareness and has several ways you can get involved.

Become an ambassador for change!

Start a Brain Injury Awareness movement in your community with one of the OABI Brain Injury Awareness Toolkits. Toolkits include educational materials, posters, concussion cards, flyers, fact sheets about the brain, and green ribbons. In addition, each toolkit will have a guide with many ideas that will help you promote brain injury awareness. Toolkits are free and can be shipped anywhere within Texas.
To order your Brain Injury Awareness Toolkit, contact OABI at512.706.7191 or oabi@hhsc.state.tx.us.

Mark your calendar!

On March 18th, OABI will be hosting a Brain Injury Awareness Day celebration!
