Masonic Lodge Donates Texas Flags To San Marcos Elementary Schools

In honor of Texas Independence Day and Texas Public School Week, the San Marcos Masonic Lodge No. 342 presented flags that had flown over the state Capitol to the San Marcos CISD elementary schools at a ceremony held March 2, 2016, at Hernandez Elementary School.
“The members of the San Marcos Lodge are pleased to be able to continue this tradition to assist our public schools and maintain our long commitment to public education in Texas,” said Will Wilkins, of Lodge No. 342.
On hand to accept the flags and certificates of authenticity were the following campus delegates:
Bowie Elementary – Marissa Rocha and Erin Bowie
Crockett Elementary – Anthony Martinez and Serina Rose Kennedy
De Zavala Elementary – Karina Zepeda, Lucas Gonzales, Ruby Gonzales, Rosa Rodriguez Diaz Deleon
Hernandez Elementary – Kai Lee and Roan Turley
Mendez Elementary – Roberto Rodriguez, III and Zada McElroy
Travis Elementary –   Addylyn Jeffers and Maya Uzwyshyn
Members of a Hernandez student choir sang as part of the ceremony, and Hernandez Principal Amber Owens greeted the assemblage.
