The Meadows Center for Water and the Environment at Texas State University and the San Marcos Area Chamber of Commerce will host a ribbon cutting ceremony at Spring Lake for the newly restored Glass-bottom boat 1963 on Thursday, Feb. 14, 11 AM.
The ceremony will celebrate the return of the boat to Spring Lake. Glass-Bottom Boat 1963 is the third boat to complete restoration work and the first hard-top boat to receive a custom, fiberglass composite hull.
Speakers at the event will include the Chair of the San Marcos Chamber Ambassadors and Andrew Sansom, Executive Director of The Meadows Center.
The Meadows Center for Water and the Environment at Texas State University was named following a generous gift from The Meadows Foundation in August 2012. The Meadows Center inspires research, innovation and leadership that ensures clean, abundant water for the environment and all humanity, and is led by Executive Director Andrew Sansom, Ph.D.
