Mermaid Society, Soulful Creations & Wonder World Park To Host Candidate Meet & Greet

Wonder World Cave and Adventure Park in collaboration with the Mermaid Society SMTX and Soulful Creations will host a meet and greet event for local candidates on Friday, Oct. 23, from 7 to 9 PM. 

The event will allow residents to speak with candidates running for city, county, and state seats. 

Social distancing will be practiced and attendees are asked to wear a mask. Each candidate will be assigned a picnic table to allow voters to speak with them one on one.

Candidates who have confirmed as of Oct. 16 are Miguel Arredondo, Omar Baca, Randy Dethrow, Alyssa Garza, Mark Gleason, Jane Hughson, Lisa Prewitt, Mark Rockeymoore, Zach Sambrano, Shane Scott, Erin Zwiener, Jennifer O’Kane, Ed Mihalkanin, Nicholas Costilla, Sherri Tibbe, Taci Zelhart, Eliseo Galarza, Cynthia Millonzi, Mayra Mejia, Rebecca Bell-Metereau and Millie Thompson.

Those who attend the event will receive a punch card with all the candidate’s names on them; those who complete the card will be able to enter to win a gift basket and will receive a small shaved ice.
