The City of San Marcos Parks and Recreation Department will host “Funday Night” on Friday, Oct. 30 from 7 – 10 p.m. at the San Marcos Activity Center, 501 E. Hopkins. Tickets are available to the first 200 participants now through Oct. 28 for $8/person.

Two hundred middle schoolers are invited for an entertaining evening of music, dancing, snacks, tournaments, games and more. The participants must be in 6th, 7th or 8th grade and must show a school ID or report card at the door. Along with the live DJ, activities will include gaga ball, 9 Square in the Air, Giant Jenga and video games. There will also be a concession stand with pizza, snacks, drinks and more for a nominal fee.

Security will be provided by the Hays County Sheriff’s Office.

“We want to provide a safe environment where parents feel comfortable leaving their kids on a Friday night. We also want our participants to have a great time!” said Jessica Ramos, Youth Services Manager for the Parks and Recreation Department.

Tickets can be purchased in person at the San Marcos Activity Center or by phone at 512.393.8280.
