Miller MS Student Advances To State Geography Bee

Miller Middle School is proud to recognize the accomplishments of 8th grader Jeremy Chenard, winner of the 2017 Miller Geography Bee.  Jeremy is currently in his third year at Miller and has excelled throughout his educational career in the field of History, having participated in the Geography Bee four years in a row — the last three representing Miller.

From year to year, Jeremy has consistently been successful in the Geography Bee Competition; he even qualified for the state level of competition once before when he was in the fourth grade. Jeremy’s teachers take pride in seeing such a dedicated student who never fails to meet the rigorous expectations of San Marcos CISD in all subjects.

In January 2017, Jeremy surpassed his classmates in advancing through three rounds of academic competition to take the title of Miller Geography Bee Champion.

As a result, he has earned an invitation to the statewide competition held every in Dallas.  Jeremy will compete at the state level against hundreds of other students from various schools across the states.  Should he succeed at the state level, Jeremey will continue his rise to the nationals in Washington, D.C. this summer.

The teachers and staff of San Marcos CISD have great confidence that Jeremy will make San Marcos proud in this competitive, academic competition.  Good Luck to Jeremy, and best wishes for his future with San Marcos CISD.
