Kalene Spencer was crowned Miss Beautiful SMTX 2018 by the reigning 2017 Miss Beautiful SMTX Kia Davis recently. Kalene received a $155 Visa gift card, a sash, crown, and a bouquet.
On Friday, June 8 the third annual Miss Beautiful Pageant took to the stage with Jupiter Brown as the host and 14 contestants competing for the title of Miss Beautiful SMTX 2018.
The Miss Beautiful Pageant is an annual celebration of beauty and poise for women with disabilities 18 years of age and older.
Angel Arredondo, Ms. Wheelchair Texas 2018, served as the special guest speaker.
Judges Elena Duran, Amy Cogdill, Gabi Perlinger, and Daniel Montemayor scored the contestants throughout the pageant to decide who would become Miss Beautiful SMTX 2018.
Awardees
Pageant volunteers voted for the Best Smile – Jill Williams; Most Expressive – Katie Hardegree; and Most Inspirational – Hayley Trimble. They received a sash and a beach bag filled with accessories.
Runners up
Third runner up was awarded to Hayley Trimble. Hayley received a bouquet, sash, and a $45 Visa gift card. Second runner up was awarded to Christina McGreal.
Christina received a bouquet, sash, and a $65 Visa gift card. First runner up was awarded to Elsa Sanchez. Elsa received a bouquet, sash, and an $85 Visa gift card.
KnD’s Boutique gave a necklace and bracelet during the dress rehearsal.
