Miss Beautiful & You(th) Can Do It! Pageant Registration Deadline Approaches

The 4th Annual Miss Beautiful SMTX and You(th) Can Do It! Pageants will be hosted by the City of San Marcos Parks and Recreation Department at the San Marcos Activity Center, 501 E. Hopkins, on June 7, 2019, at 7 PM.

According to the City of San Marcos, Miss Beautiful SMTX is for female adults, ages eighteen and up. The You(th) Can Do It! pageant is for boys and girls with disabilities, ages four to seventeen.

There is a $25 entry fee per adult contestant and a $10 entry fee per youth contestant to participate. The registration deadline is May 24. Contestants do not have to reside in San Marcos.

Adult prizes will be awarded for Pageant Queen, First, Second, and Third Runner Up, Best Smile, Most Articulate, and Most Inspirational. Youth prizes will be awarded for Queen/King and First, Second, and Third Runner Up in the following categories: Little Miss Beautiful SMTX, Jr. Miss Beautiful SMTX, Little Mr. San Marvelous, and Jr. Mr. San Marvelous. Awards will also be given for Most Expressive and Most Inspirational.

Entry forms can be picked up at the San Marcos Activity Center, Parks and Recreation Office, 401 E Hopkins, or online under Activities, Summer Special Events at www.sanmarcostx.gov/parks.

There will be no entry fee to watch the pageant which includes special guest, Angel Arredondo who will be reading her book, I Love My Red Wagon, while the judges score participants. The pageant will be hosted by former Mayor John Thomaides.
